Why I Love America as a Korean

As a Korean person, I grew up far away from the United States.
But somehow, American culture has always felt close to me.

Maybe it started with music.

Artists like Kanye West, The Weeknd, and Travis Scott completely changed the way I viewed creativity, emotion, and self-expression.
American music didn’t just sound different — it felt fearless.

Over time, I realized it wasn’t only the music.

I admired the energy of American culture itself.

The confidence.
The openness.
The idea that people can reinvent themselves.

In Korea, people often care deeply about social expectations and stability.
That has advantages too.
But America sometimes feels like a place where individuality matters more.

I think that’s why so many people around the world are influenced by American culture, even if they have never visited the country.

Movies, fashion, technology, sports, entrepreneurship — America has had a huge impact on global culture.

Of course, no country is perfect.
America has problems too, just like every country.

But from my perspective as a Korean, there is still something inspiring about the American mindset.

The idea that someone can start from nothing and still build something meaningful.

As someone interested in creativity, music videos, online business, and self-development, I think America represents possibility.

Maybe that’s why so many people still dream about it.

And honestly, I hope to visit someday.

If you’re American and reading this, I’m curious:

What do Americans love most about America today?
